Boil water advisory lifted in Speedway

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — Speedway town government has lifted a boil water advisory that began Monday after water main breaks during severe cold weather.

In a notification issued about 4 p.m. Friday, the town said residents and businesses can resume normal water use after two sets of tests over two days, coordinated with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, found the water to be safe.

Residents and business owners were advised to flush their household plumbing and water-fed appliances before resuming normal use of tap water.
