Bill honoring Ernest J. Gaines advances in Louisiana House

A bill to rename part of Louisiana Highway 1 in Pointe Coupee Parish as the Ernest J. Gaines Memorial Highway has passed the Louisiana Senate and House Transportation Committee and is now making its way to the House floor.
