INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Christopher B. Burke Engineering LLC will host its 14th annual Canoe to Work Day on Friday, June 5, 2026, highlighting the importance of Indiana’s rivers and streams to communities across the state.

The event also serves as a team-building exercise for employees and partners. Christopher B. Burke Engineering, an Indiana-based firm focused on water resource planning and engineering, launched the program as part of its wellness and environmental awareness initiatives.

Jeremy Morris, a director with the company, said the event began in 2012 with six engineers canoeing into downtown Indianapolis as part of a team-building effort. The group had previously participated in a long-running bike-to-work program.
