INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Alex Palou wins pole position for the Indianapolis 500 with an average speed of 232.248 in the Firestone Fast 6.

It is Palou’s second time starting on the pole. Palou also won pole in 2023.

“It’s big, it’s huge, it’s even better than the first one,” Palou said. “I remember the first one that I woke up that morning and going like, hey, we have a shot at this. Our car is a complete rocket ship. You don’t know that you’re going to make it or not, but you know that you’re going to fight for it. Incredible the work that everybody at CGR [Chip Ganassi Racing] has put in throughout the day to make the car faster step by step.”
