2026-27 school year start dates in Indianapolis area

(WISH) — Before July comes to a close, it is time for students across the state to head back to the classrooms.

Here is a list of school districts in the Indianapolis area and their first day of classes for the 2026-27 school year.

July 29: Beech Grove City Schools, Brownsburg Community School Corp., Clark-Pleasant Community School Corp., Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township, Perry Township School.

July 30: Avon Community School Corp., Metropolitan School District of Warren Township, Noblesville Schools.

July 31: Mill Creek Community School Corp.

Aug. 1: New Palestine Community Schools.

Aug. 3: Franklin Township Community School Corp., Greenfield-Central Community School Corp., Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, School Town of Speedway.

Aug. 4: Anderson Preparatory Academy, Attica Consolidated School Corp., Eastern Howard School Corp., Greensburg Community Schools, Greenwood Community School Corp., Hamilton Heights School Corp., Nettle Creek School Corp., Northwestern School Corp., Union School Corp., Zionsville Co...
