1 dead, 1 injured in attempted robbery in northeast Las Vegas, police say

Two men, one of whom was openly carrying a firearm, exchanged gunshots during an attempted robbery outside of a business near Lake Mead and Nellis boulevards, resulting in one death and one critical injury.
